Dani Roberts, Registered Dietitian

Offering medical nutrition therapy, nutrition counseling and coaching services for children, adults, and adolescents.

Hello!

My name is Dani, and I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in the St. Louis area. I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including athletes, those seeking general nutrition guidance, and individuals navigating challenges in their relationship with food. My approach is weight-inclusive and anti-diet, focusing on sustainable habits, flexibility, and overall well-being.

I have experience supporting a wide variety of needs and concerns, from performance and fueling, to simplifying nutrition, to helping clients reduce stress or confusion around food. My goal is to make eating feel more manageable, balanced, and supportive of both physical and mental health.

If you are looking to sort through conflicting nutrition information, make eating feel less complicated, and build a flexible, sustainable approach to food, I would love to use my nutrition expertise to support you.

My Story

I grew up as a multi-sport athlete, but along with that came a lot of pressure to look a certain way. By my teens and early twenties, I was stuck in a cycle of dieting, losing control around food, and feeling overwhelmed with guilt and shame.

Everything started to shift during my dietetics studies. I began to understand nutrition in a more balanced way… and more importantly, I started to heal my own relationship with food.

That experience led me to spend the first 10 years of my career working with individuals with eating disorders and disordered eating. I became passionate about helping people break free from food rules, rebuild trust with their bodies, and find peace with food.

In recent years, I’ve rediscovered my love for competition as a high-level pickleball player. This gave me a new perspective on fueling—one that focuses on energy, strength, and performance, not restriction.

Now, I combine both sides of my experience. I help people fuel their bodies in a way that supports performance while also protecting their relationship with food, using an anti-diet, sustainable approach.

Client Testimonials

“Dani went out of her way to offer continued support after our daughter went to college. She actually got licensed in another state so that our daughter could continue her virtual sessions. Her treatment sessions with our daughter have been an incredible step towards finding a healthy relationship with food.”

“Her outlook on eating disorders is incredible. I’ve learned so much and have been able to apply the knowledge I’ve gained from sessions with Dani into my everyday life. I’ve found authentic joy in things I used to reprimand myself for doing. I took, and continue to take pride in the progress I made and continue to make. Most importantly, I am now capable of self-acceptance and self-love whether I succeed, fail, or anything in between.”

“I had never had a treatment experience in which the "how" and "why" of the eating disorder were addressed. This has proven to be essential in my treatment with Dani. She has taught me how to be a shamelessly authentic individual, and it gave me a sense of safety to explore what it means to be myself outside of my disorder.”
